with the same wattage and voltage and whatever they will sound the same. and to green machine i think the 6.5's are the stock size cause when i cut the hole out i just made it a little longer. and if you are gonna cut it out your gonna want a good mini reciprocating saw with a metal blade

Boy you sure have a way of turning things around . Why are you bringing up SOUND BETTER , CRISPER , CLEANER . Did I ever say anything about any of these three words ???????? You said a 6 1/2 " would be LOUDER than a 6x9 . A 6x9 has much more cone surface area . Given the same amount of power in the same exact vehicle , the 6x9 will play louder all day long . Next you will be saying a 10" woofer should play louder than a 12" woofer , given the same amount of power and box configuration . I don't want to argue , but please tell me your not another one of those 20 something year old audio know it alls .

a 6.5 component set will outperform a 6x9 ALL DAY LONG, and i on many occasions have out performed other 12" installs with smaller subs, my 8"s right now walk all over the top of most 12"s so please stop being a retard and suggesting wrong things to people, it is all in the install and the product, if your a cc, bb wall rat who only believes in mainstream brands then i can see your problem right there...its all in the product and the way its installed, cone area means nothing and nor does power if you know what your doing with the right stuff
I guess you answered my question about your age . Since you bring up non mainstream brands and istallations . And you THINK you are some kind of expert on Car Audio . Why don't you post pics of your installation ? Ever heard of Protech subs (Small company in PA) . I used these subs along with Zapco Amplifiers in a vehicle that made it to the 1995,1996,1997 Usac (SQ)world finals , as well as the 1996,1997,1998 Iasca (SQ)world finals . Also I've competed in 5 Sping Break Nationals . I know your probably not familiar with the Competiton Scene , but you had to earn your way into the finals by competing at shows throughout the country , and earning enough points to make it in . I was using Subs that Hardly anybody had ever heard of , and amps that only a handfull of people were using at the time . So your mainstream argument is mute . My truck now, is not a competition quality vehicle Because the lack of Competions . I mainly do Car Shows now , so yes I do use Mainstream equipment , and I have actually won a few MECA SQ events as well as many Car Shows with it . I would still be willing to bet my everyday driver non competition install still blows away anything you've ever installed . if you don't think so , then simply post pics please .

im very familiar with competition, im a 39.9 bassrace competitor over here on the west coast, im also very familiar with zapco a good friend of mine used them in a caddy project of his on 4 15" re mt's....ive seen your install....i wasnt that impressed, its a typical show install that has to much flash and prolly dosnt get that loud...keep on doing what you do i could care less, im sure im louder than you and ill keep going and doing my thing...as far as pictures, why dont you go look on termpro after autorama here in a month or two...i keep my installs on the down low until its time for debut, as far as im concerned your just another keyboard comando
