Anyone have any idea on if there will be any trouble in installing some 6x9 in my front doors? I know i will probly have to leangthen the hole abit since stock only accomidates a 6x8. But i wanted to know if there was anything that was going to cause any major problems b4 i go tearing my door panels and stuff off. Thanks!

go with a 6.5in, rounds produce much better sound. I used a plexiglass plate cut to adapt.

well i already have some polk audio 6x9's so im trying to stick with them.

i was going to ask the same thing, i found some adapters on ebay, but i dont think we will have the clearance to use them, so im going to just get new speakers.

When i took my door panels off on my 2001 mine had 5x8's, front and back doors.

I think that the 5x7 and 6x8 are essentially the same size. Could be wrong, but I do know that 6x9's are much bigger. I would be more concerned about the depth of the speaker and wether or not it will allow the window to operate properly. Before you cut anything, try measuring for depth.
