I have a 98 f150 lariat model with the 6 disc changer, the problem is when I hit the CD button on the radio nothing happens. The changer itself still has power and I can still take out the cartrige that holds the Cd's. I was just wondering if any one else has had this problem, I am trying to get an idea on where to start looking(either the radio or the changer)

i work as an installer, and my advice is purely opinion. in fords, the cd changer usually gets power from a location other than the radio,( so when the radio is unplugged, you can still eject the cds) so it sounds like either something is wrong internally with the radio, or the changer has come unplugged, but i have seen many more changers go bad before the radio, other than the radios that 3 year olds mistake for piggy banks and fill with change)
