What about the cross member?

No sorry I should have been clear on that, my apologies. I was just commenting on the overall quality of the RCD kits in general.

What cross member? The front suspension is identical to the regular half ton. The only things that will be different than a regular F150 is going to be the rear shocks and the u-bolts are larger on 7700.

since you are raising the truck and the torsion bars will be below the frame it should not matter as the frames are (I believe) the same. you would just install the spacers per normal and go from there. the bigger diff will be the only issue like Carcrazy said, the kits are designed for the 9.75 diff so the ubolts are probably different.

They can't be exactly identical. The 7700s are rated for a plow and the regular half tons are not. Or could this just be because of the HD shocks? And also I was told that the cross member in regular kits would not work because I have a 4r100 transmission. I'm not the most mechanically savvy guy so if this is wrong please feel free to correct me and give me a little more insight on it.

The kit will work. The E4OD snd 4R100 are almost identical. There is no difference in the frame. The difference is the torsion bars.

Everything will work the same as the standard F150 including the cross member. Only difference is the rear u bolts have to be larger.

The rating for a plow deals basically with the torsion bar diameter. There is other items also.
