97 rear brake problems

Default 97 rear brake problems
Hi all, here are the specifics, 97 f150 4x4 rear drum brakes, after a light rain the rear brakes will lock up with very little effort applied to the peddle during normal driving the rear brakes don’t seem to do much seems to require quite a bit of effort to stop the truck.
Any input or recommendations are appreciated

Take the drums off and sand the shoes lightly with 220 grit paper to knock the glaze off and rinse with water. Common problem.

My 97 does the same thing after a rain, after one or two slight stops
it goes away until the next rain. I just live with it. I love my F150 4X4
