5.4 won't idle in park help
I have a 2003 crew cab f150 with a 5.4 and have replaced the plugs, coils and fuel pump the truck runs and idles fine in drive but dies after idling in park for more than a minute.It does not do this in drive while at a light or any other time while idling in drive only in park.The service engine light is also on.

Not trying to thread rob you, but I have a Very similar issue with my 5.4L Expedition. Mine will crank and start in park, but dies right after starting. And, mine will also die when in drive at lights or when coming to stops if I dont feather the throttle. Is this a common issue on 5.4 Tritons? I haven't replaced anything on it yet, I just bought it like 2weeks ago! So frustrated with it already. Its a 98 Eddie Bauer, clean as all get out, but I have been noticing strange noises and the 4x4 going in and out of 4H and A4wd when engaged. Also a growling noise when in 4H.. I dunno, hopefully we can get an answer or suggestion.
