my 4.6l had a 4r70w, the expedition 5.4 had a 4r100. so which flex plate do i need to put the expedition 5.4 on the 4r70w?

you need a flex plate for a 5.4 with a 4r70. You'll have to use the converter from you 4.6 hopefully you havent already broke the pump drive off.

how would i know if i broke the pump drive off?

Whens it all back together correctly and truck doesnt move.

your saying now? or if im take it apart replace the pump, then get it back together it might not work?
i was asking, when i take the trans out, how will i know
