Has anyone ever tried doing this, just a complete motor swap. If not what options are really available to swap into our trucks? Some might think this is a bit crazy and a waste of $$$ but a new truck is 35K and I would think this would cost no more than $7500 but even if it went up to $10k that way less.

Yea it likely won't right now just thinking out loud. I really like my truck and I while I like the newer ones more I'm not thrilled with the idea of paying for one.
If I could just get another 100hp and keep or improve current MPGs then I'd be perfectly happy for another 100k. Oh guess I should mention I just turned 100k on my '02.

Ya a new truck might cost you 35k but you can turn around and sell it for 35k just as easy. Drop 10 grand into a motor swap and kiss that money goodbye. Nobody wants someone else's Frankenstein truck

There will be a lot more used Coyotes available in the future making them a whole lot cheaper than the crate price. As an owner of a 4.6 and a 5.0 Coyote, it's not even close. My (when it was ) stock 5.0 would run toe to toe with Terminators all day. It won't be long and someones gonna do it
