Maybe i can figure out a better angle of attack with a u-joint and some funky extensions too.
Its really a tight squeeze, I could only manage to get a 1/4" ratchet on it, and I didnt have enough torque to break it lose with that small of a ratchet.

If you have some swivels in 3/8" you should be able to get a good grip on it. I had to use a piece of pipe as a breaker to break one of them loose.

Well i got the manifold off. The cheapo harbor frieght swivel sockets i bought months ago had saved the day. I was able to to get all the broken studs out of the drivers side, but i have a complete stud stuck. I was not able to use a 7mm socket on this one as the end rounded out. In the picture you'll see i employed the two nut method which removed the broken stud.

Down to just one broken stud on the pass side. Got the last stud out using the 2 nut method. Here is a test fitment of the header. In all honesty fitment seems really good, and reaching the hardware isnt that hard with these headers

that damn dipstick tube, removing that thing was absolutely horrible

If I was around id tack you a 1/2 nut on there and you would be in business. Looking good, suprised at how well those things fit. And yes, the dipstick tube is a PITA.

I've been thinking about doing one just to clean things up. Haven't ordered the caps though. I'm kind of torn between doing it and don't want to complicate the tune. Im already doing a new MAF, pumps, and LT's. Help me decide lol. I do have emissions testing although it wouldn't be bad to put the egr stuff back on.

I still think you could pass emessions with a moderate tune. Adding it back would be simple.

I say delete it, too much un-needed stuff under the hood.

Trust me, if you don't absolutely need the EGR delete it! It makes changing plugs ALOT easier!!

Here I'll help you out even more.

Sprayitracing.com or seller sprayitracing on eBay sells the block off plate for like $15. Then go to homedepot and get a brass garden hose cap for $2-3 for the exhaust manifold.

Here a vacuum diagram for ya too!
