Default 4x4 Problems. Need help!

First I locked it in 4wd and wouldn't go back into 2wd. Pulled the t-case motor and put it in 2wd manually and the 4x4 dash light stayed on. Then it wouldn't shift in or out. put a new t-case motor on, nothing. New switch on the dash, nothing. All fuses, and relays for 4x4, PCM, and GEM test good. Don't know what else to do.

I'm not seeing any actuator or fork diagnostics. Curious why since this is one of the first things to check....if not the first. Pull the plastic cover on the axle and check actuator and fork operation.

Sometimes it's the simplest answer. I completely blanked.
