Exclamation 4x4 issues. HELP!!

Hi y'all

My 4x4 had given me alittle trouble last year. Anywho, my 4x4 is not kickin in right away after I flip er over. Sometimes it takes as much 100 yards or more to lock in. Would this be a bad 4 wheel drive actuator or a vacuum issue? This is my primary off road vehicle during hunting season. Any help would be appreciated

Yea, you should be in 4wd as soon as your hand leaves the switch. Well, easier things first, - lube the actuator pin up and work it. Also, follow the pink and blue Vac lines up to the solenoids on the firewall. Look between the battery and firewall below the solenoids. Look for cracks in the those two lines at that location. They like to dry up and break like glass there.

Yeah you should be getting engagement right away. I know with my truck the only problem i have is moving out of 4x4 while moving. So now i just do all of my engage and disengage at a stop in neutral.
