Default 4x4 engages but dash light stays off

As topic says. I have the shift on the fly with stick setup. When engaging 4x4, everything works but the dash light stays off. The low range light lights up when put in low range tho. What should I be looking into? I checked the web and there doesnt seem to be any special sensor for that.

Thanks a lot.

When you turn your truck on, does the 4x4 light come on?

No, no light when turning on the ignition. But if it were to work, what sends the signal to the light to indicate 4x4 is actuated?

As you can see from this pic the TC motor has a switch that sends a signal to the GEM. The Gem then turns on the light.
ETA: Those original TC motor switches have been know to get corroded so it's possible the switches are making reliable contact. TC motors are cheap though. That's the good news.
ETA (again lol) Since the light doesn't come on when you turn on your ignition it's obviously the bulb in the cluster.
