4.6 PCM to 5.4
Question: I own a 1998 4.6 F150 which I just replace with a 2002 5.4, now my question is instead of getting a tune could I purchase a 1998 5.4 PCM and just plug it in?

So:
1) could I just Plug in a 1998 5.4 PCM in my 98??
2)If I could I would probably still need a tune Rite? ?

Use your 4.6 pcm and harness and get a custom tune. A couple wires need to be lengthened in the harness but it's no big deal.
Wow I did not answer your question at all. Yeah a 5.4 pcm will plug right into your harness if you can get one for cheap. Otherwise you do need a tune with a 4.6 PCM.
