Default Rear Speaker Replacement

I really need to replace the rear speakers in my 97 extended cab. Does anyone know how to remove the door panels to get to the speakers? Chiltons manual is a joke. Thanks.

I've done it in my 97' it deff helps. for the passenger side door First take the two screws out of the window, then take the plastic from around the window off, next there will be three different types of fasteners on the top of the door panel, take them off then the panel just slides up and off. If you the three door tell me and ill tell you how to take the driver one off.

Great! Thanks to both of you. It should be a breeze now. Also, I do have the three door ext cab. If you know a trick or two I would appreciate hearing them.

for the driver side you have to take out the back seat. I learned that the hard way the first time I did it. Take the bolts out of the floor and take out the seat then there will be two or three bolts below the back of the seat to take of the seat back. Then do the door panel just like you took the other one off. I think you have to take the seatbelt off also. just flip up the plastic peace and you will need a big torx.
