Default 3.73 gears

im looking to put either 3,73 or 4.10 gears in my truck, which would yall suggest? i have 32 in tires...would the gears out of a f250 or anything fit my rearend? maybe an excursion...its going in my 02 4x4 5.4 screw

well from what I understand the F250 and up have diffrent size rear ends then the F150 and even the F150 7700 series has a diffrent size rearend then a 150. Im assuming that you have a 3:55 or even a 3:31 ratio in the truck now, which would mean that you would have a 8.8" rearend so you can't just get the gears out of a bigger truck you need to get gears for the 8.8 and if you plan on using 4x4 you need to do the gears in the front axel which is also a 8.8" and those gears are reverse cut.

i have the 9.75 with 3.55 gears

well in that case you should be able to get 3:73's from a f150 for the front and back, but if it was me i would check out how musch it is to get ones from a used/scraped truck compared to getting a new set. but if it was me and I was spending the money on gears I would go with 4:10's and to get those you need to buy new ones

what f150's have 3.73? woulf the gears from a newer truck fit mine say a 04-08? would the 4.10 kill my mpg?

my 99 f150 had 3.73s factory. Its the package.

why not search ebay. You may find some gears with low miles because they swapped gears after a lift and tire upgrade.
