Red-Ford

Has anyone put a new F-150 tailgate on this generation F-150? I'd like to get one with the step in it, I know a few people here have the Superduty tailgates on, but people in my area want your first born child for them and since I don't have kids, I simply can't afford one. The 2015/2016 F-150 tailgates have a reasonable price on Craigslist so if they work, I'd like to pick one up.

It might work but I would check the measurements and the locations of the latch

At least you have sources where you are in Washington. Here in Alaska, forget trying to find a 08 up SD tailgate, especially one with the step. As far as the 15-16 tailgate, The bed it taller than the 97-03, so I'm sure that they will not fit. You'd be better off with the 08 SD gate. At least we know that those fit. The 15 & up have the big raised area at the top, so that would make it look rather odd back there, if it ever would fit. Measure the width and height and that will tell you how it will do on our trucks. I just don't think it fits.
