Hi. I was driving out of the neighborhood this morning in 4 wheel lo (roads were horrible). As I left the neighborhood and attempted to move it to 2 wheel drive, it would not shift out. When you turn the engine off and restart, the "4X4" and "low drive" disappear bu then show up again.

What is going on? A fuse? Something electronic I figure.

I'd appreciate any input on the problem and how to fix.

did you stop and put the truck in neutral before shifting out of 4LO?

With all this snow I don't remember
Probably did leave it 4lo.

I fixed it. Started the engine, put it in neutral, then it shifted out of 4lo to 2hi. Tested it, and now 2hi, 4hi, and 4lo are all operational again.

Thanks for responding. I sure did not need that drama with another 10-20 inches of snow coming my way (after 26-28 inches the other day).
