F-150/250ld vibration - interesting resolution
I recently aquired a 1998 F-250LD, and it has had a vibration from 60-65mph. First place I took it thought a tire could be balanced better but didn't think it was worth trying to fix
Took it to a different guy today - took him a while but he noticed that the brake drums had been replaced fairly recently. Turns out the drums were out of balance. He said he had seen that a couple of times with cheap drums from China. He balanced them up with wieghts and tape and no more vibration!
He said if it weights didn't stay in place, I might need to replace the drums with Ford drums.
