2002 f150 supercab lariat. just bought couple questions
So hello to the forum... after 5 consecutive vw jettas over 25 years, I recently got this 150. Being a little new to the nomenclature, I think its a lariat supercab? short bed 4x4 with the 4.6 liter. with 155k miles, it runs surprisingly smooth. no ticks or clanks, and rpm seems smooth. However there are a couple questions... edit: reading a ton of posts, i was able to answer my main two questions.
i spent awhile searching for this truck... she lives in south philly and will mostly be a commuter, is there any issues or problems i should look out for in this truck? im slowly getting a feel about what ro do and more importantly NOT do. i get the feeling that besides oil and upkeep, i should leave thingsclike the crankcase and transvalone inless they are broke?

so, as i have gotten comfortable with this truck, i can say aside from leather seats in winter, she is exactly what i was looking for. the 4x4 worked perfectly in the first real snowstorm, even with those small tires. which brings me to my next question or two. i am thinking she is stock height? and has not been leveled. both if which are fine as i am probably never going to do much dirting with her. the truck DOES gave a tow package installed but again will probably never need it. so my questions...
1. would removing the tow kit, provide any meaningful weight difference / mpg?
2. is there any reason to level the truck? i understand the advantage fir towing but personally i like it the way it looks.
3. if it doesnt look lifted, what should i do to verify this? my thought us that you measure frim ground to center of wheel well.
lastly for those who doubt a trucks viability with city parking/driving, on my block alone there is another 2002ish 150, a full size tundra, a big ram, and one of those explorer 4tracs.
parallel parking is wicked easy in these trucks, i actually have to parallel an izuzu npr quite often and with no back up camera which i consider cheating. and interestingly the truck is the same length as my pops gran marquis...
