Sounds awesome!!! Is it just a standard stock cd player?? You won't be getting the best sound out of the speakers unless the cd player is putting out more watts.

Eh, I threw around the idea of amping the speakers, at least the fronts... Its got the 6disc under the back seat and a stock tape deck up front if i remember right... I bought reference instead of Kappa for that purpose that it wouldn't be power hungry... Stereo is the LAST thing he cares about anyhoo... Alternative rock sounds great on crummy stereo's anyway!! lol

Again, not tryin to impress anyone with the stereo... Just needs a little better SQ than stock... Been using Infinity stuff for 10 years and haven't had any issues yet... Its nearly impossible to get a truck to sound like a coupe or sedan with a bose system without replacing HU and installing subs, high end speakers and amps... Trust me, I've done several trucks several ways... I don't have the cash to screw with the stereo anyway...

Was hoping to have other ideas and comments NOT regaurding the stereo...

Thanks...

Thats alright, I just thought That I would share the fact the I do not like the referance speakers in my truck, I actuall liked the stock speakers better.

and with that list of stuff, you should have no problem blowing through the budget, but I have no idea what you are looking for suggestion wise, it soulds like you already have your mind made up, and a plan made. Sory.

Well the speakers are in my garage already, as well as the gator net tailgate... I ordered the flags and Ipod doc too... Other than that, I'm still considering Air Intake vs Drop in w/ air box mods... I have a K&N Drop in for that truck in my garage, the same one worked in my 05 F150...
