Well the scum bag who hit me was driving with revoked license no insurance and tags for a 92 Chevy on the 97 gmc that hit me. My un insured policy through State Farm is paying for my truck but I have a lawyer involved for everything else.
You have to love that I work my a** off to have something nice and someone takes it away and on top of that I have to pay insurance every month and a percentage of what I pay is to cover someone like the guy who hit me so I am covered.

You should get retail value. Specifically, the amount of money you would pay for a similar truck in similar condition in today's market. You have a great looking truck and I would say that you would have a hard time find a similar truck in that great of condition. You need to push the insurance company to make you happy. If you want them to fix your truck, they should do it. If you need a little extra money to get a newer truck that looks as good as yours, they should do it also. If you were not hurt in this accident, you are very lucky and so is the insurance company. The damage from an injury, lost wages, being in the hospital, ongoing medical expenses can be a lot more expensive for the insurance company than the property damage. Also, sometimes broken bones do not show up for a few days and the insurance company will want you to settle quickly to avoid future liabilities. If you do start noticing pain in your back or neck, get it looked at quickly and notify the insurance company. There is no excuse for someone running into you like that.

When you say you just got your truck how you want it, I assume that means you've put some money into it. Be sure the insurance company is aware of the new parts and present the receipts to them. A guy I know wound up getting an extra thousand out of his accident after showing them the work he'd put into his truck.

So it's a no-fault state I take it. Well, I guess it doesn't matter if he didn't have insurance. Mann, they should make people do some time for driving around like that. Obviously that guy isn't learning anything. I hate paying for insurance just like the next guy, but it's a part of life I wouldn't want to be without. I hope they don't jack up your rates on yuh and also hope you have a good agent...that can make all the difference.

^^^ No doubt. Your agent can make the biggest difference.

Yep you just want to whip scum bags like that. Not like they will punish someone for it, other than you the victim. Wouldn't be enough for me to see people like that go to jail for a few years. The rest of us have to work deal with tags, DMV, insurance, to bad he didn't die in the accident.

Calm down. Wishing death on someone is far greater than what people imagine. Death on family's is difficult.

Nope only thing I wish is this would have been a single vehicle accident! Just because after the fact only damage is this guys truck is such a bleeding heart response. This dirt bag could have really hurt or killed someone. Lack of personal responsibility has gone way to far in this county. Obviously this dirt bag had no inspection and concern for maintenance or the consequences of such actions, only concern was his own gain.
