I'd say it's totaled. There's some pretty significant frame damage there in my estimation.

That sucks!

Depends on its value, but I'd say that's an 8k to 10k hit. If it's on the cusp of being totaled the body shop might lower the bill; they don't make money when they don't fix cars. I'd push for totaled, remind the insurance company about the rental which will be something like $1k, the diminished value which will be around $3k.

I've gotten back 2 cars from a frame damaged accident and they ran okay, but they looked like ****.

On the bright side, your truck took it like a champ.

was the owner of the GMC blind? It's not like you can't see a vermillion red F150 in the sun...... I swear stupid people make it so where no one can have nice things. I'd have to say it's done... Look at the hitch it's bent badly how bad is the back of the frame?

Man, are you okay ? That was hit hard...45mph you say ? Looks like it!

They'll total it, - that one might be worth buying back from insurance. Frames are easy to come by. It would be a nice little project...easy one as well, if the cabs okay. Can't believe the tails survived lol. What hit yuh ?

Had the same thing happen to me back in '06 on my '01 F150 and the bed hit the cab. They didn't total it then but if that happened today and with the truck being 15 years old, I am certain they would total it.

And man, 2 days later my neck was sore as hell.

Oh man- yes its probably totaled- more importantly, the insurance company will want you to sign off on the settlement right away- dont do it until you are sure you are physically ok- or have them seperate the medical claim out- a buddy of mine found out the hard way- just some info- hope you are well- sheet metal can be fixed or replaced!- Regards, Bear.

Values will be closer to private party sale price. Who's the at fault insurance company?
