2001 F150 Timing (Please Help)
Hey All,
I have a 2001 Ford F150 4.6l V8 and I'm currently working on a new timing set. the old main crank gear had a timing set mark on each side of the gear and the marks were offset. The new kit only has one mark on the front. I've lined up the new and old gear to get my 2nd offset mark on the rear of the new gear and put it together and started spinning the main through its rotations and got binding with the valves and piston. so i tried lining my marks up with the single mark on the main crank gear with both chains and spun the motor with a wrench and never got any binding but I'm unsure if this is right being that the old gear had 2 timing marks offset from each other and not 1. the old chain had no colored links for determination. can someone please help point me in the right direction so i don't ruin this interference motor!
Thank You
