2001 F150 Rim question
My son wants black rims, I am thinking this could be a good x-mas present for him. Have looked around but only finding high dollar rims, this is for a 16 yr old and do not need high dollar rims. Any links or brands for a budget minded person looking for black rims. I have also thought about plasticoat but not sure how it would look with stock rims, he currently has chrome rims that are pretty rusted. thanks for any info

I would just paint the rims with a good wheel coat system. I used this one.

thanks for the links and info, painting would be an option. I am not sure how the stock rims go together. you can tell there is a steel wheel behind the chrome. Can you remove the chrome all together and just paint the steel
does anyone have a picture painting stock rims black

Potatoe....here is a list from eBay. They are starting at 76.00 per wheel, depending on what you want to buy. Of course that is the low end, but that is what you were asking about. It is set at the lowest price first.

I honestly think your son, if the budget allows, would like aftermarket better. One option is ballistics. They are cheap. I believe I have the model 845. Cost I believe about 7-800

I didn't have a budget in mind when I picked out my wheels. My American Racing wheels were pretty cheap and I prefered them over all the others. There are also the classic Bullet Hole wheels that are made by several companies. I don't like big bling or huge lips.
