2001 F150 Fuel system issues

what im talkin about is i went out to try and start my truck sunday, the fuel pump kicked in twice and the truck didnt start, i tried a 3rd time after i cycled the key a few times and the fuel pump didnt kick in, i went out on monday to try to start it i cycled the key and no fuel pump kick in. the dash lights and eveything work the fuel pump fuses are good, so today simce it was above 32 degrees i thought i might try again well same thing the fuel pump didnt kick in, it cranked over every time so its goin to the shop

I have the same type of problem it would start sometimes only when I could here pump kick I've looked for the fpdm but it is not where it is on later models , checked my relays it's working fine but the pump still is intermiten does anyone know if there is a fpdm on a 2001

My truck will sometimes not start like you're saying. But usually I can get it to crank right up if I take the key out and put the truck into park completely. I guess I'm not completely putting it into park whenever I stop the truck to get out.

A Bad Ground Wire could prevent your truck from starting when the Engine is Hot..
If your Truck don't start in a Cold Ambient Temp just replace the Intake Air Temperature Sensor..
The Ignition Key can only handle small amount of Amperes that's the reason why you can turn on the headlights with the ignition off.
Try turning the Fuel Pump Inertia Switch Off and Turn it On. Are you familiar of the sound when there is no fuel? If not disable the Ignition and Crank the Engine while Fuel Pump Switch is Off.
