I have a 2001 f150 4x4 and while driving my overdrive stopped working and light is flashing....fuse is not blown and there are no parts in the tranny pan when I removed it. All other gears work. Any suggestions?

If your over drove light is flashing there is a fault code stored. Bring it to a transmission shop.

When this happened to my truck I had my tranny flushed and it went away? Did you lose your overdrive "gear" also? Or is the light just flashing

lost the gear truck wont go over 55

just the light flashed a few weeks ago and the fuse was blown...now lost gear

Definitely take it to a shop and have them look at the code on the tranny. My truck would go over 55 when it happened to me

There are no tranny shops

Where do you live that there's no shops that can service a transmission? I find that hard to believe. Sounds like you need to start asking around. If there's gas stations and cars/trucks there's shops to repair them.

Time for a rebuild or replace. Nothing else you can do. Unless you never go over 55.
