2001 F150 4.2 6 cyl NO POWER
Thought maybe the convertors were plugged so I took them off and puched them out. Engine still has no power when I accelerate. Could it be a cam sensor? Engine starts and idles fine, but when I give it gas it spudders and wont go.

Okay....I barely get out of the hills, what going on with this truck. We stop at the gas station at let it sit for 30 minutes and when i turned it back on it had a little bit of more power. Got home and parked it the next day its back to normal and once in a while it does the samething where it wont rev more then 1500 rpm. Can this be a clogged cat? like I said my motor idles perfect but once in a while the rpm drops a little below the normal like a misfire then I hear a rattle near the cats

I agree.
Check fuel filter or it could be the fuel pump.
Sounds like it is not getting gas.
Check the air filter too, the system depends on air and gas both for acceleration.
Have you checked all the vacuum lines and made sure the throttle body is working right? Maybe it is gunked up and needs cleaning but be careful and only use cleaner for Fords with the plastic coating.

i have almost the same problem. truck will run fine but at idle it feels almost like a miss my dad drove it and said it seemed to be lackin some oomph and he thinks the injectors may be clogged. filter is new plugs wires and ignition coil are all new engine was just fully rebuilt and pcv and vaccum lines are all good. so my next venture is this.....
