Default 2001 4.2 F150, Coolant leak, what is this part?

So I've been trying to get a coolant leak solved and finally narrowed it down. At first I thought it was a hose so I bought a new hose from Autozone and used hose clamps to secure it. Well it seems to be spraying out now. I'm not sure what exactly this hose is connect to both ontop and on bottom.
The leak is comming from the bottom of the below hose. Could somone please tell me what its connected to on the bottom, its some metal T pipe but I cannot seem to find what part it is in my helms manual or online. I think there is a crack where it T's coming from the bottom of the hose. Here are alot of pics:

The pictures only partially displays the metal "T" that I believe has a crack in it. The 3rd and 4th pics down show it the best.

The "T" has the small hose with new hose clamps coming in the side, and it has a larger diameter heater/coolant hose coming in from the top. I can't find this part in any diagram or in my helms so I don't know what it is and would like to order one.

From your pics it appears that the metal line with the T in it is coming up from the water pump. Looked at online parts stores, but didnt see that as a option. Maybe its a dealer part? I went and looked at mine, and it is a bit corroded. Havent had the need to do my pump yet. Kinda looks like hard line is pressed into the water pump, but the new ones online dont show this pipe on the new units. I am sure someone has replaced a water pump on this forum and can lend some experience. Looks like that part that could be brazed?

Thanks. I think it does sit just above the water pump. But I couldn't tell if it actually connects to it. And your right, I couldn't find it listed in any diagrams either... Hopefully somone else will chime in thats knows what the part is so I can order it.

Is there not an online site that has a complete parts breakdown of the engine for the 4.2L engine? I know for all my motorcycles its easy to go online and find a parts break down of everypiece of teh bike online. But I can't find one for the truck....

I wish. Moto sites are great with their exploded views of all parts. If you ever find one for the 4.2 let me know.

Thanks. I checked the manual and in the section talking about removing the waterpump it does say first take of the heater tube from above it. That is the part I need. I discovered today it does have a small crack in the backside of it. It has proven to be a pain to remove though so it will have to wait until morning.

I tried searching for a "heater tube" online to order the part but nothing comes up.....

Just checked my 02, naturally its different. The upper part is the PCV valve, coolant is used to keep the valve warmer to prevent condensation from freezing. The lower connection is for the heater hose, that is where they are tapping into the system. Am going back out to have another look see. Back in a few.

Yeah, the routing is slightly different but it is the connection for the heater return hose. Just call the dealership, doubt if any parts house will have this part.

do you have any better pics of it? this might be what happened to my old 4.2 because i had a coolant leak from the pipe that is on top of the water pump and i had to get it directly from a stealership.
