2000 F150 V8 Triton Won't Start Because of Alarm??
My husbands truck is back in the shop. The mechanic thought it was the fuel pump and replaced it 2 weeks ago.
On Saturday, it once again would not start. Had it towed back to the mechanic. He now says it's the alarm, and only Ford can fix this.
Does this sound right?
Thanks

How to reset alarm so you can start you vehicle
I replaced my battery, and when I was reconnecting the positive cable, the alarm chirped several times. I tried to start my vehicle, but it would not start. I knew it was alarm related, because when I pressed the "unlock" button on the remote, it did not chirp.
***HERE IS THE FIX*** All you have to do is... Disconnect the negative cable from the battery for about one minute. Reconnect the cable ( make sure it's tight ), press the "unlock" button on your remote; start your vehicle. This drove me crazy!!! I hope this helps. Good luck!!!

this will work if when you try to start the truck it turns over and the theft light comes on it might seem like its a fuel pump but the battery is gone jump start it with cable and it will start cause it will get 13.3 volts ... or try another battery...
