Default 2000 F150 V8 Dying

I received a F150, (4.6 V8, automatic, currently 71K miles), recently my truck dies when coming to a stop, or turning. This began to happen just before winter, the only modification is a K&N filter. I use Mobil 1 full sythetic, and change the oil every 5K miles, I use premium fuel and oil filters. At about 40K miles i replaced the plugs with factory OEM parts. I pump fuel from a 1000 gallon above ground tank on my property, I replace the fuel filter every other oil change. The tank has 1 internal filter, and 2 filters at the pump. The air filter it clean. What would cause it to die, the only thing Ive notice is that it idles just a tad over 500rpm. Its almost dangerous because it does it while turning, and the steering and breaks don't work as they should. ANY help would be much appreciated! Feel free to AIM me at A1onBBQ.

Lightbulb just 2 cents worth

If you fuel up from an above ground fuel sourse, the fuel is more prone to be contaminated with water due to temp changes. First, replace the fuel filter...agian. When removing the old fuel filter, make a mental note of water contamination within. Vacume leaks and or a mis-seated air intake hose can cause these symptoms.
The 90s to early 00 F-150 are prone to throttle air bypass solenoid failure. This will cause low or no idle, and can throw codes (check engine light). "Google" the red title and you will see what it looks like. This little rascal will set you back about $75.00 but is easy to install. Good luck.

Check the throttle body too. Make sure its not realy dirty. The IAC can only compensate so much for gummy buildup.
