My heat is not working. Last winter I flushed the cooling system/heater core. Replaced the thermostat. Tested the blend door manually by turning the door by hand to no avail. The hoses going to the heater core are hot on both sides so the core isn't clogged. I have checked most of the vacuum lines and they are all good. The heater controller in my dash works great all modes change high to low, panel to ac to defroster all work. When I flushed the coolant I cut the heater line after the block before the heater where the small reducer is in the hose. I put the reducer back in the replacement hose and still no heat.

So where I'm at is I don't think it is the thermostat since I replaced it, water pump works, blend door works great, heater core isn't clogged.

I just had the ford dealership give me a quote on fixing the heat in my truck and it is not cool. They want $585 to replace the thermostat, flush my coolant system, and replace a heater hose. They say the way the hose is set up it is some how trapping air in the system and not allowing the truck to heat.

I'm stuck now. I don't want to pay these guys $600 to do stuff I have already done or can do myself. i.e. replace a heater hose. Is there anyone out there that can give me some suggestions as to the next step before I have these guys replace a hose I can do for less than $100?
