Hello, I'm new to this site but I have a question for y'all. I have a 2000 f150 xlt offroad edition 4x4 with a 6 inch skyjacker lift with stacked blocks in the back. It's also riding on 35 inch Mickey thompsons and 20 inch ultra thunders. My problem I am having is when I take off from a stand still or a slow move is that I get this clunk that sounds like it is coming from the slip yoke or the drive shaft. The sound is coming from the middle of my cab. Is this axel wrap? And I need traction bars? Or is it something else? I just don't wanna snap my driveshaft if it's axle wrap. Thanks guys any help would be appreciated.

did you check your u joints?

..... check your lift blocks..... my truck did sammmmmmmmme thing ever time u left stop sign or sumthing it would clunk i had a broken blocks....

Yea I checked my u-joints, they seemed fine. And for my blocks they looked fine, how would u tell if there bad? The noise seems to be coming from the front of my driveshaft.

make sure ubolts are tight... mine i had physically take out to reallyt see my damage... are they aluminum blocks or cast? if u suspect drive shaft... take it out put some lube on end of spline and slip the shaft back in...

My blocks are cast. Yea I heard someone talking about greasing the slip yoke, just wanted to make sure it wasn't axel wrap. You've never had problems after you replaced ur broken block?

Did ur clunk seem to be under the cab?

where ur blocks are cast... just make sure the u bolts are tight.. and grease the drive shaft... my old blocks were aluminum... soo they cracked... and yes it sounded like it was in front under cab..

Did ya grease the front yoke and have success getting rid of the clunk or was it just ur block?

Was the drive shaft lengthened to compensate for the lift? Does the slip yoke have the same amount of exposed surface as before? Look for new wear marks caused by the tranny seal.
