Wink 2" Leveling Kit and 3" Body Lift Questions.. HELP!

First off, my truck is a 2003 F150 4.6L V8 2wd extended cab flareside.

I am looking to level my truck as well as lift it up some.

I am looking at:
2" Front Leveling kit (coil spring spacers)
1" blocks for the rear

and a 3" Body Lift.

I have a few questions hopefully somebody can answer.

1. How hard is it to install a leveling kit, blocks, and body lift yourself?
2. Can I have a body lift on top of the leveling kit?
3. How much will this kill my gas mileage?
4. Are there any specific leveling kits or body lifts that I should be looking at? What brand?
5. Anything else i should know?

I basically just want to give my truck the look of a 4x4

Thanks!
Nate

For about the same price you can get a 6.5 to 7 inch suspension lift that will hold up much better since your trucks a 2wd, it will hurt your gas mileage a little at highway speed, but what kills your mileage is when you put on bigger tires, that much lift you can clear 35's.

Leveling kit is easy. Body lift a little harder but not bad. As long as you have tools and jacks. Yes they work together. The bigger tires that your going to have to run will hurt your mileage a bit. Rough country makes good leveling kits and performance accessories makes a good body lift kit.

Well I can get a 2" leveling kit for about $100, and a 3" Body Lift for about $200. Whereas a 6" suspension lift is going to cost me around $1000.

No offense, but i've NEVER seen a full 6 or 7 inch suspension lift thats not used for that cheap. I mean, not saying this because its what i have, but for a setup like mine you can spend as little as around $500-$600 and get 5.5" of lift all suspension. Along with being able to fit 35's with minor trimming. Plus, depending on what spacer your buying, those usually compress down over time

But to answer your question, you can put a body lift ontop of any suspension lift. It doesn't mess with any of that. Daystar makes leveling kits, along with Rough country making 2" replacement coils. If your set on a leveling kit being the only suspension mod you wanna do then thats what i'd run. Much more solid than a spacer. Usually runs around $100

Is there any advantage to the 2" replacement coil springs over the 2" coil spring spacers?

springs: http://www.roughcountry.com/ford_2wd..._leveling.html
spacers: http://www.rangeroffroad.com/Daystar...KIT_p_485.html

They are about the same price...

And what about the back? I would like to lift it up maybe 1". Would a 1" rear block be the easiest and cheapest way to go? Does it affect my ride handling?

The problem with a spacer is it compresses overtime. While a full replacement spring is a sturdy, single piece. And no harder to put on either. And with a full 2" of lift in the front (which you may or may not get with the spacer) I would say a 1" block in the rear would be all i'd wanna put. It doesn't really effect the ride. I've got 4" blocks in mine and it rides like a log wagon but i also have wore out shocks too

O, and...you can find that spacer ALOT cheaper than that. I bought a set for $45 for my truck when i ran them. Unless that kit comes with shocks. I wouldn't wanna go any bigger in the front than 2" without longer shocks
