That's either an EGR poppet valve problem or a plugged cat, but yea, these are the basics when the RPM's fluctuate that much. You probably already checked that out.

Come to think of it, perhaps if you posted what you have done already to determine the problem, you may get better answer's...sound good?
I see what your saying but I'm working on it everyday and I do a little more everyday, but I pulled the throttle body and the egr ports are completely clogged with a black tar would that cause the problem?

That would throw a code though right, it's not throwing any codes at all

Nope, not with the way it's running, but that SHOULD most definitely throw a DTC. A 401 or 402.

And yes so would the MAF, that SHOULD also throw a DTC.

So you scanned it anyway correct ? The 'SHOULD' means that at times they don't throw a DTC. To make sure, scan it and check if you have a bulb out or whatnot.

If all is well, carry on and look further. Make sure your ignition harness is well away from your AC accumulator. BTW EGR ports that are plugged won't affect drivability. But a stuck open EGR valve will make them run completely like schit. And that happens AFTER the ports plug. Carbon builds in the valve under the diaphragm, - no way to see it or clean it without compromising the diaphragm..so keep that in mind. You have to check your cats. Either look at them at operating temp at night or use an infrared temp gauge to take a sample at operating temp. Look for differences. One problem can easily lead to another and it's hard to believe you don't have ANY DTC's. Or unusual anyway.

I got it running today, the little 3 inch rubber hose on the fuel had a small hole in it so it wasn't getting enough fuel which explains why it was dieing when I would hit the gas, thanks for the help anyway fellas
