Default swap 99 F250 bed to 99 F150

I own a 99 F150 4x4 with a ratty bed.
the junk-yard has a 99 F250 4x4 with an immaculate bed (RhinoLiner even!)

Is this a bolt-on swap? is it even possible?

A friend says the F150 and F250 are totally different chassis...

the two trucks are identical to my eyes... except the 150/250 emblems....

Assuming its the same styleside bed and lenght, it will bolt right up. 6 bolts, one electrical connector, couple gas hoses

if it's the light duty f250 that looks like the 150 then yes....if its a superduty then no but it'd look totally different. maybe it is a light duty and your friend assumes its a superduty?

I'm showing my ignorance here, but how do I tell a SuperDuty from a LightDuty.?? Other than looks? will the VIN tell me?

I've owned this truck a total of 48 hours

it's not hard at all to tell from looks. a '99 superduty looks like this. (pic below.) of course it may have a different cab or bed length or whatever. just for reference, the looked like this till '04, then just slightly different till '07....they even today have the same basic shape (same cab). they also have 8 lug wheels. the light duty was a model they made to help fill a production gap, 97-98s and a few '99s as well. it will have the same body shape etc as a 97-03 F-150, just F-250 badges. they also have 7 lug wheels, the regular F-150 has 5, as I said superdutys have 8. (F-150 7700s, which were really just an F-250 light duty but changed t0 the 150 7700 package when the superduties came out, also have 7 lugs). this is a superduty.

Even if the super duty bed will fit it won't have the sane body lines
