Default 99 Expedition won't start

Need help with this problem:
Truck was running at highway speed and just quit, I tested the fuel pump amd it works,(jumpered the relay), I only have .5 volts at the pump connector with the ignition on. I put a code reader on and it says it can't communicate with the PCM, and after a few minuets of rhe code reader hooked up and the ignition on, I noticed the "CHECK ENGINE SOON" light on and the antitheft light flashing. Is this a coded key problem and can the key be tested, or is the engine computer bad?

sounds like a vats issue (vechile anti theft system) try leaving the key in the on postion till the theft light quits blinking then turn off and try to restart. Ive also had to clean out the dirt and grime from the ignition switch and antitheft ring I wouldnt know how to test the key but I do know walmart sells the anti theft keys if it is key related for around $60

PCM relay probably went bad. Will it crank just not start?

When testing the fuel pump voltage you really need 2 people to do it accurately. PCM only applies power to the pump for about 2 seconds-then shuts it off. Why not check fuel pressure at the rail? Even if you are getting proper voltage readings at the pump-it doesn't mean the pressure is OK.

The anti theft system could be a problem now but would not have made the truck stall on the freeway. Is only used for starting. Check fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Even if you can hear the pump doesn't mean it's pumping anything or it is getting up there. Plugged fuel filter, ruptured pressure hose in the tank! Power and ground for the fuel pump are the bigger two wires of the four pin connector to the fuel pump.

was not the pcm relay, I had to give up on the self diagnosis, the other back up car broke down now. I took it to the dealer and they got it running after finding a blown PCM fuse, could not find the source of the trouble, I drove 2 miles from the dealer and it popped again, replaced it with a spare and tried restarting it and it blew again. It is naow back at the dealer. Any Ideas?
