Hi, I am installing a used engine on my truck 1997 Ford F150 4.2 V6 and wanted to replace all the gaskets before I drop it in the truck. I looked up the torque specs for the bolts, but I got different answers and specs from different sites.

I need the torque specs for the following and if you have everything would be better.

intake manifold bolts (upper)
valve covers
oil pan
drain plug
clutch and bell housing bolts
exhaust manifold bolts
exhaust pipe bolts

and the rest.

I am so confused from all the different answers I get.

best to rely on dealer knowledge tree. as when you finish it is very unlikely that you will be in the mood to redo! I have some information but you have already run into conflicting information. Be sure, I can offer this, check carefully everything, you do not want to buy someone else s' problem. Especially the 4.2 v6. hint they only manufactured it once. Check the message boards on this engine. Be Safe
