HD3900

I just got this '97 F150 and it did not have the remote to lock the doors or set the factory alarm. What would I need to do to get these and program them to work on my truck? Does these trucks have a chip in the ignition key? I was wanting to get a couple of extra keys and did not know a good place to get that either. Any advice you guys can give me on this truck would be very much appreciated

Same thing.... Just bought a truck, no factory keys, and no remote. Wondering if I even have keyless entry.

I dont know anything about the fob but my 01 Lariat has a chip in the key, I went and got a key made at the hardware store and it ran everything but would not start the engine. If anyone has gotten a spare from the dealer how much did it cost I only have one.

As far as a new key goes your looking at about $100 bucks

And as far as the key remote I would go to the dealer and they will have to program it to your truck.
