Default this is why we drive ford trucks

my sister has an '03 supercrew and was in an accident yesterday. a guy turned in front of her at an intersection and she t-boned him. they took him to the hospital but he should be ok, and my sister wasnt hurt at all. so far her truck can be fixed, i cant imagine what would have happened if she would have been in a car.

I hope the day never comes when my truck gets into an accident but if it ever does I know I'll be protected. Interestingly though IIHS rated the 1997-2003 series trucks a poor in offset crashes but that doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Glad your sister is okay. No doubt I would rather be in my ford in a crash.

Good to hear. My friend used to have a Ford Explorer Sport Trac and was hit by 3 homeless people who stole a car and were swerving all over the road. They hit him head on and crushed his legs and now he is walking again thankfully; but all 3 people in the car that hit him died upon impact.

Yeah the 97'-03's were not so good in offset front crash test, watch on youtube the difference between the 97'-03's and the 04'-08's on the offset front crashes. It's a huge difference but the 97'-03's are still pretty tough compared to non-ford competitors.
