03 front wheel bearing
Here we go again! I have the same noise coming from the front of my 2003 4WD. It sounds a lot like a belt squeak, but appears to be coming from the left front wheel. The sound does not change with engine RPM, braking, or speed. It also comes and goes while maintaining speed. I thought it was a wheel bearing, but many people are trying to steer me away from that thought. What about the pads or anti-rattle clips? I just did brakes on this thing, and it made no difference at all. I am losing my mind trying to figure out what the heck is making this noise.
Also, does anyone know what size socket fits the front axle nut? Someone told me 1 3/8, but I thought this was metric.

35mm is the axle nut size. It sounds like it has to be a wheel bearing. Have you jacked up the front and spun the wheels as fast as you can to try and duplicate the noise??

Unfortunately, the only time the truck doesn't make the noise is at low speeds (15 MPH and under). I doubt I could get the wheel spinning that fast manually. I just hate the idea of throwing $200+ at this thing not knowing if it will fix my problem.

You mean which wheel or which part #?
For the wheel, jack the truck up and spin the wheel check for squeaks it should not grind or make noises when turning.
Then grab the tire and try to wobble it back and forth towards you, it should not wobble.
If you mean part, any parts store can help you including online based on your specific truck.
Get the entire wheel hub assembly it is easier and make sure you get the same number of studs for the lugs. Just count them.
For 4X4 check front U-joints too for wear.

Wheel Bearing
I hope you were smart enough to do both sides. Whenever you do anything like this, (Bearings, Brakes, Rotors etc. ) do both sides, as one side is usually in close to the same condition as the other, barring impact damage.
