Looking to add pop out touch screen dvd stereo system but can't find a compatible device? Does anyone know if it is possible without modifications to the dash? Thanks yall

A double din player will require a little trimming to get it to fit

yes a pop out screen is in a single din that will fit without any trimming but will need a bracket to fill the gap

Thanks guys, I noticed that a lot of the dimensions for the pop out, single din, touchscreens are around 9 inches wide. Does this mean I need to have a nine invh opening on the dash or just in the mounting box?

Do they even make pop out/flip out screens anymore? I'd suggest a double din. Doesn't require much to install!

They do still make them, I have been considering whuch to buy and wantes to know how much would need to be cut to fit a 7 inch screen? If isn't too much then I would be alright with it but has anyone tried the 6.2 inch screen? Would that size fit better?

Back in 04 I had a DDX7015 installed in my 03 it was the first DD Kenwood made, was actually the first one the shop had gotten in from Kenwood. I can't remember what size it was but it fit perfect!!

That is excellent Wayne. After watching some YouTube videos, I think I have a grasp on the situation. I just need to buy the system, harness for wiring ease, mounting kit, and get to cutting the dash. Did you paint the dashboard around the central unit? That would help tie the mounting kit into the overall look....now I am thinking about up grading the a/c controls too. Your 03' is inspiring. Thanks for all this great input!
