building a 03,F150,7700 4x4;5.4,4r100,3.73 gears for my grandsons 16th B-day gift, (he knows nothing about it) in any event, I would like to run305-70-17s BFGs on CPP Eagle wheels. question is; what modifications am I going to have to do to get this accomplished . BTW,; thank you all for answering/helping an old guy out. just turned the young age of 71; thanks again. any other
wheel/tire combinations you can suggest, I will listen/read with jealous attention and respect. And another little thing; I don't see so well, or type worth a damn; just a warning for those that expect grammatical perfection.

I don't think you will have to make any modifications. If anything, maybe crank the torsion bars up a bit. Other than that, you are set.

Yep. That's a nice setup. More heavy duty than most f150's on the road.

Agreed, turn the keys a few cranks if the tires rub when you turn them all the way, get an alignment after and you're all set. Would you be willing to adopt another grandson?? He's only lucky guy.

If you get a chance, would you mind taking a picture of the sticker on the drivers door. I was investigating and realized only a select few of the 7700's have the 4r100

Very nice, -is grammatical a word ?? Crap, -it is.. Kids got a cool grandfather! 7700's are very nice. You found some nice rims for it, -no problem ? Yup, just crank the bars a bit if need be. Sounds like a nice one, - hows the body?

will post pix of door sticker soon as kid next door stops over and shows me the how to.. body is good; no rust , straight , truck came out of Florida never left Daytona airport...72k when I picked it up; not a problem on the pix; though I am 100% sure is has a 4r100, and 10.25 sterling rear end.; research, research, and research again before we traded money for the truck. and it has the 4x4 selector on the floor. in my old book, that's a good thing.

I have been blessed with two grandchildren; not sure at this point if I can afford another; but hell, at my age anything/everything and every day is a gift... bring your tools and maybe we can work something out.....

So far only one grandson here (5), he's is a riot lol. Not ready for his own BIG truck yet , but definitely shows an interest haha.

What are 305's, aren't they about 33" tall ? Yea, those would look nice.

I run 305-70-17's on mine so you won't have any issues with clearance.
