What would cause my truck to be sluggish/hesitate/miss fire around 1500 to 2500 rpms while accelerating. Its not throwing any codes. Changed the fuel filter about 6 months ago. Thanks for any help

What causes a misfire? Really?

Let's start with spark plugs and coils.

Not sure how many miles you have on your truck. Could be a vacuum line that is loose, or, you need to clean you MAS that is located on your intake. I had the same thing, I used a K&N air filter and the oil from the filter gets onto the MAS and makes it read wrong and it confuses the Computer.
Good luck wit that.

Thanks,

*over oiling is what caused you to gum up your maf. If you oil them correctly you won't have a problem.

Sorry it's got 167000. And I did have a k&n filter on it but went back to a stock filter and cleaned the maf sensor 3 or 4 times. I replaced one vaccum line that I thought was bad but didn't help anything. The vaccum elbow on the drivers side valve cover is a little wore out but not bad. Gonna replace it this weekend.
