WTS: Bilinvic custom HID retrofits
55w ballast, 6k bulbs, painted bucket oem grey , two tone shroud grey and black, fxr 3.0 projector, tinted turn lights. Not sure if I'm missing something. Just ask.
The background. I had the original ballast go out...its a known issue with the originals. I have brand new replacements. I tried to hook them up for a pic of them on but was not able to. Either I had it hooked wrong or there is a fuse out or someone shorted out. I took the headlights off to replace the ballast and never put them back on. The oem went back in but the wire harness stayed in the truck and was still powered. I had one blown fuse that I changed but still nothing. So I'm either missing something or maybe something it's out in the wire harness.
Also the rubber boot broke appart but I have replacements as seen in the pics.
With that said I have no doubt they will work fine and at worst a new wire harness from TRS will get it up and running. I don't have the time to go through all that so I took it all out...my loss your gain.
I'm looking to get $600 shipped anywhere...even out of the US.

Lol I feel you, oilfield here too, supply company here. Kinda why I'm looking to sell. They have been off my truck sitting for me to get around to swapping the ballast. Now I look at $600 sitting in my garage I could use for a bill lol. Glty!

No I'm pretty sure they are good. They would start to not come on or would go on and off. Started with 1 then the other. From my understanding the older ballast had this issue so I got new versions under warenty. But it took me probably several months to try to hook them up again. Meanwhile the wire harnes was still hooked to the battery and all. I had one blown fuse. I'd bet that it shorted a relay or something. I was trying to avoid having to deal with it more but I'll probably have to just get another harnes and try to test it out.

It sounds like a relay issue to me. I went through 3 of the morimoto oem harnesses, (the halogen to oem hid one). Mine would either start to take a few minutes to turn on, or else they wouldnt turn on at all, or the last time, they turned on, turned off, back on, back off.

I think I am just going to get a new wire harness so I can get them running to sell. I have had a lot of interest in them but the harness is a issue...and I realize that. Once I get it and make sure everything is running ill let everyone know in order that I heard from them. I will likely add the price of the harness into the sale price but at least we will all know its a working package.

Bump!
Even without harness, this is a steal for Bilinvic heads! His work is great and even throwing $200 worth of new parts at them is still worth it.
I agree that it's a relay problem.

I'd buy the hell out of them if I had 600 to spare right now. I can't believe these are still available. I've even been trying to figure out ways to get them without the wife killing me!
