Well your research should have lead u to the fact that the soundman mount costs 250 plus shipping, CA tax and the stock piece to modify and you're already into the project 300 bucks without paint and body materials.
Man hours aren't too bad, easily a good 12 hours or so. So in the end In the end the profit margin isn't great. But I charge a few hundred, soundman charges 1200 to make it worth his while

Thats why I am so confused in the first place. I dont understand why the soundman plastic is 2-300 bucks to begin with, its just molded plastic with some felt aint it?. It seems like you could get a local machine shop or a place that has a way to mold plastic to make you a ton of them for a few hundred bucks. If I was you, I would check into it. Especially since you have the skills to do the labor on the grafting.
