I have a SCT X4 that I bought new for my 2013 5.0. I have several custom tunes on it but as discussed before, will not work unless your PCM has the same strategy code as mine. However, you can use the canned tunes on it already plus order your own personal custom tunes if you want. I bought it new and it has only been married to my truck. I returned my truck to stock as I am looking at trading it in. Will take $300 shipped. Sorry about the date on the pics, I took the pics a few days ago. If this is a problem, I can take new ones. Located in SC and will ship to the cont 48 states.

Can it be used on a 2012 Ecoboost? If so how do I go about changing the strategy code?

I'm pretty sure that it isn't compatible with the ecoboost, maybe someone could chime in. As far as the strategy code, It will work using the canned tunes without needing to know your strategy. Only need strategy code when ordering custom tunes.

I have an ecoboost. I have the SCT X4 tuned on my truck. I understand people are just trying to help but if you are not sure about a subject please don't guess. It gives others incorrect knowledge

That's why I suggested others may need to chime in. I DO NOT KNOW. I went on the SCT website and could not find a tuner for the 2012 eco. Either way, Great! It does work on ecoboost then. Thanks
