Default Rough Country 2" Drop Shackles $45 Shipped

Have my Rough Country 2" Drop shackles off my truck. About 4,000 miles on them, taken off today. Cheapest price I've found new is $59 shipped so lets start at $45 shipped assuming you don't live on the West Coast.

Put them in a flat rate box from the post office. I shipped cool springs to Hawaii for 14$ that way

Any pics of your truck with them on? Did it sit level? Any advantage to these vs removing the factory blocks?

Plenty of pics. Sat perfectly level. Both have the same basic function, raising the axle up to the frame. But removing the block will only brings the axle up to the Leafsprings. The shackle drop brings the whole rear end up higher, which I think would help handling more also as you are lowering the center of gravity too. Another advantage is that you have the option of either a 1" or 2" drop on the shackles while removing the blocks will only get you the 1.25 inches that it took up. Also my service guy assured me that shackle drop will void no warranty other than the part itself breaking but a block removal alters the mounting of the axle and might cause warranty issues if something did go wrong. He couldn't say for sure, but I can tell you one thing, he suggested I go for the shackle and he had it on his own truck. I personally felt more comfortable replacing the shackles than removing the blocks but it's up to you. I believe these should work on both RWD and 4WD models. They should have identical part #'s.

These are on stock 32" tires. Parked on an incline so back may look slightly lower than front.

Looks good. I was just reading your build thread. Was that 1 or 2" drop in the pics? Why did you take them off?

I told the local shop to put it on 1 but they put it on 2.

I originally chose the shackle drop over a level because I mount my bikes on my tonneau and my new FX4 was 4 inches taller in the rear than my 2 inch dropped FX2. I wanted to be able to access the bed easier and get the bikes on and off.

I'm starting to spend more and more time off road so I'm getting bilsteins for the front and and stock height in the back. Plus extra space for those 33's.

These are easy to install yourself at home, all you need is a good floor jack and 2 jack stands. The stands will need to be at least 15-20 inches tall.
