Just curious.

.
Seems like often times that can be directly linked to Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP). Some manufacturers set a minimum price that their retailers are allowed to advertise. If a retailer wants to offer a product at under that MAP price, they must refrain from posting it publicly.

And if not that, it could also be because vendors are not just posting one-time classifieds, they are running a business. Prices change, products change, things go out of stock, seems like many different variables that would make it difficult.

It would also lead to massive bidding wars between vendors if every price was advertised. "Well we have it cheaper than these guys!!!" sounds like something that would probably detract from the quality of the forum...

Doesn't seem that difficult to just PM a vendor for a price.

Just my $0.02

Buying together or apart doesnt change the discount. You get the same deal either way

Makes sense but it also makes sense for them to at least post "starting at $xxx pm for exact price" or $xxx-$xxx, final price depends on option selected etc.... That way a perspective buyer has an idea if they even want to spend $xxx etc or just keep looking.

Nothing bugs me more than going thru a bunch of foot work just to find out the price point is not even close to what I would be willing to spend.
