Default black fx4 fender flares

Looking to buy a set of FX4 black fender flares textured or smooth either one with mounting hardware.

The rough surface ones go real cheap. I see them on e-bay. BTW, I am looking for a set of smooth.

I found a couple potential sellers but i have an xlt and they said that it wouldnt work with fx4 flares because you would have to to drill about 10 holes per fender thats 40 + holes i dont know about that

Yes, the original flares need the holes in the fenders/boxsides and...... they would need to be almost exactly in the right spot! You would have to take a template off of a truck with the holes and transfer them over.
IDEA -Possibly a new flare from Ford comes with the template??

Ya i almost bought because i love the look but dont wanna be drilling my tuck 1 or 2 holes if fine but 40+ not for me just thought id give a heads up like i was giving

I think Bushwhacker has a street style flare that is close to the factory ..

Appreciate that bit of info man, may go aftermarket then bc I'm with you on drilling holes.

I just got a set of used FX4 flares. I'm planning on using double sided tape instead of drilling holes. We'll see how it turns out. Too bad I need to wait a few months for it to warm up.

I was thinking about how that might work out myself after deciding against drilling. It'll be a while, but let me know how it works out for you once you do it.
