Default Bilstein 5100 Shocks 09+ F150 - 195 Shipped

right after we sponsored this forum we went out and stocked up on Bilstein and Rancho shocks for the current Ford F150. I am overstocked on these! We offer free, same day shipping now - delivery is 2-3 days anywhere in the USA.

Front pair is 195, full set 345 - delivered.

The #1 selling replacement upgrade shock for the Ford F150, the Bilstein 5100 is an easy way to improve your F150's handling, ride, offroad capabilities as well as providing you multiple snap-ring grooves in the shock body that allow for different spring seat positions, providing 0"-2.5" of front end lift. Forget leveling kits, improve the suspension while lifting the front end with Bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable shocks.

I use them on my truck and can say that the ride seems firmer/tighter without being too stiff. The handling and steering is much improved, while the ride is much smoother and the ability to soak up speed bumps or potholes is much better. Offroad, the shocks are so much better then factory I wonder why they didnt go to Bilstein first.

Normally priced at $390 a set delivered, grab a COMPLETE SET OF 4 for only 345 delivered with the promocode "F150FORUM"

Shipping is right around 85-100 for two or four, the added weight of the rears doesnt add much to shipping cost, its always the package size. We use USPS.

Will I need different rear shocks if I will be adding a 3" rear block? Or will the set cover it?

The 5100's REARS will only be good for stock 0 or up 1" Block kit.

If you Cross Reference a 6" lift i.e. ProComp they use a 3" Block Kit

ES9000 Ext length is 32.93 ext / 18.85" Collapsed = 14.01" Travel Shock

To Be Safe a 14" (+/-) travel shock is idea.

Bilstein makes a 5150 shock that is 34.9 ext / 20.75" = 14.3" Travel Shock.

Vendor...

A few questions for you. I am fairly uneducated when it come to lifts and such.

That being said... currently, my 09 scab 4x4 is leveled with 2.5 spacers. I am thinking of making the move toward bilsteins. I definitely want to remain level! I see 2.5 listed for max height on the description but then I see 2" on the link description.

My question is.... what do I need to be perfectly level? what do I do with the spacers? .... and what do you recommend for the rear to be level??

Thank you in advance,
Jordan

Hey Jordan, Technically the lift for Bilsteins 5100's for the 4x4 as follows:

4 height settings
Stock, .75", 1.5", 2.25"
(see the notes below)

By removing the leveling Spacers it will allow the shock to have more travel and giving it a better ride. Ride Heights are subjective due to vehicle options. The 4x4's might have a taller spring and/or a stiffer spring rate than a 4x2. Most people remove the spacers and consider this as an upgrade from STOCK or a Leveling shock without the spacers.

Rear height stays the same as the 5100's gives you the desired lift.

If you want to go higher than 2.5"-3.0" You might want to consider an Adjustable Coilover from one of the Major brands in the industry. ICON Vehicle Dynamics, Radflo, Fox, or King Coilovers and Icon or Camburg Upper Control Arms as well.

Let us know so we can put you on the right track!!

does anyone have any reviews on the performance of these shocks? both on and off road, smoothness, less or more vehicle roll when turning, braking and so forth?
